Senior Design Engineer (m/w/d)

To strengthen our design team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on steel construction and handling and separation systems. The position involves handling demanding technical tasks in special machine construction.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design of assemblies and complete special machines
  • Focus on steel construction, machine frames and support systems for measuring systems and handling systems
  • Development and design of handling and separation concepts for bars, pipes and profiles
  • 3D design with SolidWorks (frames, axis systems, moving units, fixtures)
  • Creation of 2D derivations, production drawings, parts lists
  • Mechanical design of conveyor and positioning units (cycle time, precision, reliability, maintainability)
  • Performance of calculations, strength estimates and dimensioning
  • Selection of standard parts, drives, guides and sensors
  • Contribution to new developments and standardization of existing systems
  • Close collaboration with sales, project management, purchasing, electrical engineering, production, assembly and customers

Your profile: 

  • Completed Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering or comparable
  • At least 5 years practical experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machine or plant construction
  • Ideally demonstrable success in developing robust, series-ready designs
  • Solid experience in design of steel and welded assemblies
  • Practice in design of handling and conveyor technology (roller conveyors, lifting/rotating units)
  • Experience with separation solutions (magazines, pushers, stops, etc.)
  • Proficient with drive technology (SEW, Festo, Siemens)
  • Knowledge of technical documentation and machinery directive
  • Ability to estimate deflection and stiffness

Electrical Engineer for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning, installation, and commissioning of special-purpose machines (domestic/international)
  • Commissioning/wiring of machines and systems
  • System testing and planning and implementation of handheld device testing in accordance with DGUV3
