The new TWINEX ScanEnd from MSG eliminates the need for manual inspection to ensure very high dimensional accuracy requirements.
In a solution developed for Wieland Amstetten in Austria, an existing straightening machine runout was modernized. To integrate the TWINEX ScanEnd, a transverse conveyor with an additional reject chute was installed into the existing runout. To reduce effort, the already existing good-part chute was retained.

“We were also particularly impressed by the professional and on-schedule project implementation within our very tight commissioning timeframe of just one week,” said Mr. Wegmayr.

Wieland now benefits from certified 100% inline monitoring of the cross-sectional shape (ovalness OD and ID, wall thicknesses, eccentricities), which prevents complaints and, above all, enables immediate process optimization and increased efficiency through visualization of measurement results at the straightening machine control panel.
